Jodhan The term elder abuse is becoming more and more popular these days and sad to say it is a term that has so many negative connotations to it. There was a time not too long ago when the term elder abuse used to be applied to the treatment of the elderly in homes for seniors; but no more. This term has been expanded to include the treatment of the elderly not just in homes for seniors, but also with regard to financial matters. Elder abuse is growing by leaps and bounds and it is something that we as a society need to pay closer attention to if we want to ensure that our parents are going to be well taken of. As a matter of fact, we need to address this growing problem now if we ourselves hope and expect to look forward to golden
years of pleasantry and security. Financial protection for seniors should be made a priority and it should be at the top of the priority list for everyone. For make no mistake about it, do nothing and we may as well say goodbye to financial stability. Do something now and it can only stand to benefit all. We need to be thinking about the future of generations to come. We need to take steps to stamp out elder abuse now for if we do not then tomorrow's generation
will have much less to look forward to. Elder abuse is real; and those most responsible for this are primarily those in the health and financial industries.

While close to two thirds of the home security industry is still controlled by local and regional players, the growth potential has attracted some large companies and brought consolidation. Most notably, Amazon this year acquired home security brands Blink and Ring—startups that offer web connected doorbells and cameras—and announced a home security offering with monthly monitoring as low as $10. The move “is high up on the radars of people in this industry,” said Jillian Bateman, chief development officer of the Electronic Security Association, a national trade group.
